Mrs. Mamie Arrowood Duncan, 88, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. Services were held at Crowe’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Piedmont Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Duncan; her parents, Arrie and Johnny Arrowood; 7 brothers; 4 sisters; and 2 grandchildren.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Reba Lawing and husband Jerry of Marion, NC; 3 sons, James Daniel (Dan) Duncan and wife Marilyn, and Jerry Eugene Duncan and wife Pat, all of Rutherfordton, NC, and Norris Edward Duncan and wife Elaine of Gatlin, Tenn.; 1 great-grandson, that she raised; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
