Mrs. Mary Ellen Ferguson Bennett, 89, of Bostic, NC passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Services were held at Gantt’s Grove Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Bennett and her parents, Ewell and Carri Hutchins Ferguson.
She is survived by six children, Joe and Geneva Bennett of Mooresboro; Jim and Gwen Bennett of Ellenboro; Jerry and LouAnn Bennett of Ellenboro; Johnny and Barbara Bennett of Rutherfordton; Jack and Cathy Bennett of Forest City and Jeff Bennett of Forest City; one daughter, Joan Bennett Hutchins and husband Fred of Bostic; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
