Mrs. Mary Evelyn Houser Hardin, 70, of Forest City, NC, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010. Services were held at First Wesleyan Church, Forest City. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lucy Jane Brackett Houser; and 1 brother, Earl Houser.
She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Stephen Hardin of the home; 3 sons, Gary Hardin of Forest City, Grant Hardin and wife Lora of Lancaster, SC, and David Hardin and wife Cyndi of Apex, NC; 2 brothers, Carl Houser of Spindale and Glen Houser of Chattanooga, TN; 1 sister, Frances Ledford of Dallas, NC; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Wesleyan Church, 700 South Church Street, Forest City, NC 28043; or to: Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 1100 New York Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20005.
