Mrs. Myrtle Goode Phillips, 90, of Mooresboro, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Services were held at Race Path Baptist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Paul Phillips; her parents, Clarence and Nora Hollifield Goode; one son, Doug Phillips; two brothers, Jack Goode and Johnny Goode and one daughter-in-law, Margaret Phillips.
She is survived by three sons, Steve Phillips of Mooresboro; Gary Phillips and wife Mary of Mooresboro and Jeff Phillips and wife Denise of Mooresboro; one daughter, Peggy Branch and husband Junior, of Mooresboro; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Phillips of Mooresboro; one sister, Ruth Lane of Mooresboro; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home, Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
