Mrs. Polly Powell Henson, 94, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. A graveside service was held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Henson; her parents, Broad and Effie Edwards Powell.

She is survived by one daughter, Janine Dodson of Forest City; one son, Rick Henson of Rutherfordton; one sister Evelyn Dyer of Forest City; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
