Mrs. Rachel Nan Howell Crain, 58, of Rutherfordton, NC passed away on Monday, February 7. Services were held at Gilkey Church of God. Interment was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Crain was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. R.D. and Atha Lee Gardner Howell.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, James Ronald Crain and her four children, Ronnie Crain, Jr.; Nannette Flack; Samantha Scoggin and Traci Epley; one brother, Ray Howell of Hickory and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
