Mrs. Winifred “Winnie” Goldsmith McDaniel, 87, of Beams Mill Road. Ellenboro, NC, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011. Services were held at Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leon H. McDaniel; her parents, Walter Goldsmith and Martha Allen Goldsmith; 1 sister, Maude Goldsmith; and 2 brothers, Eric Goldsmith and Wally Goldsmith.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Mary Phillips and husband Gary of Six Points; 1 son, Gordon McDaniel and wife Carolyn of Ellenboro; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
