Ms. Allena Buckner “Lady” Marlowe, 76, of Forest City, NC passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010. Services were held at Sulphur Springs Congregational Holiness Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Ms. Marlowe was preceded in death by her parents, Rassie Washington Buckner and Mary Frances Mashburn Buckner; 3 brothers, Keith Buckner, Raleigh Buckner and Paul Buckner; and 1 sister, Margaret Barnes.
She is survived by 3 sons, Ernest Marlowe and wife Kaye of Rutherfordton, Alan Marlowe and wife Kathie of Gastonia, NC, and David Marlowe and wife Crystal of Forest City; 2 daughters, Wanda Morrison and husband James, and Ellen Cardwell, all of Forest City; 1 brother, Floyd “Shorty” Buckner and wife Nancy of Mooresboro; 1 sister-in-law, Dorothy Buckner of Forest City; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Harrelson Funeral Home, Caroleen, NC is serving the family.
