Ms. Vera Ellen Silver Fletcher, 79, of 1410 East Gaston Street, Lincolnton, NC, (formerly of Forest City) passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Services were held at Goodes Creek Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Ms. Fletcher was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Silver and Essie Tidwell Trosa; and 1 sister, Becky Brown.
She is survived by 1 son, Don Mathison Jr. of Georgia; 2 daughters, Judy Hicks of Iron Station and Linda Mathison of Mt. Holly; 3 brothers, John Silver of Lowesville, NC, Ray Silver of Morresboro, and Chris Absher of Forest City; 1 sister, Mary Hutchins of Forest City; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home, Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
