Opal A. Lowery, age 80, of Ellenboro, passed awayFriday, December 30, 2022.

Opal was born February 28, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Hoyle Leonard Allred and Fannie Daves Allred. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Jewell, Bobby and Jerry Allred and sister Vember Quinn.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of 58 years, Wayne Lowery; son Brian Lowery (Renee) of Ellenboro; sister, Rose Nanney (Marvin) of Mooresboro.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2pm January 6 at Harrelson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Henderson and Rev. Robert Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30-2pm at the funeral home on the day of the service.
