Patricia "Pat" Kay Poteat Jaynes, age 67, of Spindale, NC passed away Friday, November 20, 2015.

Pat was a native of Rutherford County and a retired activities director for local nursing homes. She was a graduate of RS Central, a member of East Rutherford Church of God and daughter of the late Joe Seaph Poteat and the late Mary Willie Guffey Poteat.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Heather Silvers and her husband James of Rutherfordton; Jeffrey Franklin and wife Lindsay of West Monroe, La.; one grandson and one great grandson; brothers Joe Poteat of Laurinburg and Mike Poteat of Rutherfordton; sister Teresa Rumfelt of Polkville.

A celebration of Pat's life was held in the chapel of Crowe's Mortuary with the Rev. Jonathan Lankford officiating. Burial followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in Pat's honor to East Rutherford Church of God.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
