Paul Robert Everhart, 71, of Lake Lure, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

A native of Hartford City, IN, he was the son of the late Robert Lewis and Zelma Catherine Stanley Everhart. He was a retired educator.

Left to cherish his memory is his companion, David Bruce Ray; brother, Donald L. Everhart; sister Catherine Sue Prewett; aunt, Virginia Ridgeway; and nephew, Todd Everhart.

A Memorial service was held at Fairfield Mountains Chapel with Rev. Everett Chapman officiating.

Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
