Paul Vaughn Gee, 75

Paul Vaughn Gee, 75, of Forest City, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Paul Gee and Pat Gordon Gee. Vaughn served his community throughout a long law enforcement career. His career began with the Forest City Police Department in 1971, moving to Spindale Police Department in 1976, and lastly to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in 1990. The final years of his career were spent as an investigator for Rutherford County Schools until retirement. He was a US Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife Trudy Bradley Gee of the home; his son Max Gee of Forest City; daughter Cassie Gee Aviles and husband Jose of Forest City; a sister, Paulette McCallister and husband Rass of Inman; one grandson, and one nephew.

A memorial service was held July 16 in the Padgett & King chapel with Rev. Paul Scott and Rev. Brian Cole officiating.
