Peggy "Mickey" Epley Green, age 86

Peggy "Mickey" Epley Green, age 86 of Forest City died Monday, June 6, 2022.

Mickey, as she was known was born in Rutherford County September 11, 1935, and was a daughter of the late R. H. Epley, Sr., and Mattie Ruth Watson Epley.

Mickey was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband, Billy Ray Green, brothers, Kermit Epley, Wayne Epley, Bobby Epley and Francis Epley, and daughter-in-law, Jinnie Green.

Survivors include son, Scott Green of Spartanburg, daughter, Elizabeth G. DeChant and husband Mike Newsome of Forest City, sister, Jean E. Gibbs of Union Mills, brothers, Don Epley and wife Barbara of Smithfield, Virginia, and R.H. "Firpo" Epley, Jr., of Forest City, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life was held June 9 at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Rohm officiating.
