After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Phyllis Garrett Hill, age 58, of Forest City, passed away April 6, 2022.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her father James Authur Garrett Jr., and survived by her mother Lucille Hooper Blythe. She is also survived by her husband Tim Hill; daughters, Tara Tays Davis (Justin) of Ellenboro, Kayla Hill Cramer (Robert) of Mooresboro, and Chelsea Hill of Charlotte; son Jonathan Hill of Forest City; two grandchildren, "Sistas" Margaret Daniel of Albany, GA, and Tina Garrett of Fort Myers, FL; brothers Ed Hooper of Odenton, MD, and Artie Garrett of Lakeland, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was born in Sylva, March 10, 1964. Phyllis dedicated 20 years as the office manager at Outdoor Colors in Rutherfordton. She was a member of West Point Baptist Church in Rutherfordton.

The family would like to thank the staff of Levine Cancer Institute, Forest City. A special thanks to Dr. Matthew Rees.

Rev. Lance Scarlett will conducted funeral services April 9 at West Point Baptist Church, Rutherfordton.
