During the month of October, the Town of Rutherfordton participated in the annual Pink Out Celebration for cancer awareness. Town staff gathered at Kiwanis Park for a group photograph as the month's observance concluded. During the awareness month, the town employees and friends raised money for the Community Health Council's Cancer Patient Assistance Fund.
