Ransom Jay Hicks, age 80, of Conover, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019.

He was the son of the late Clyde Chauncy Hicks and the late Julie Carpenter Hicks.

He was a native of Burlington, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Hicks.

He is survived by One Son: Ransom Jay Hicks, Jr. One Step-Daughter: Judy Bringhurst. One Sister: Julie Hicks Johnson, and three grandchildren.

The graveside service will be at 11AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Rutherfordton City Cemetery with Reverend Dean Baughn officiating. Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery.
