Ray Virgil Pogue, age 82, of Spindale, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016.

He was a native of Rutherford County the son of the late Allen Paul Pogue and the late Rachel Reese Pogue. Ray was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith. He spent his working career in textiles. He was preceded in death by one son Allen Ray Pogue, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife: Nelle Dietzel Pogue.

Four Daughters: Diane Hughes, Tracy Aiken and husband Eric, Tammy Cole and husband Mark, Terri Toney and husband Ed. One Brother: Jim Pogue. Nine grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren

At the family's request no formal services will be held. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County; PO Box 336; Forest City, NC 28043.
