Raymond Patterson, age 80, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

Raymond was born October 30, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Hugh Patterson and Francis Fowler Patterson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Patterson and a second wife, Mary Dobbins Patterson and by his brother, Ernest Patterson.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Cindy Hargett of Ellenboro and Daphne Layton of Mooresboro; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, Shirley Leverette, Betty Crowder, Carolyn Yarsboro, Nellie Hubert, Margaret Mode and a brother, Howard Patterson.

The funeral service was conducted at Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in the Spindale City Cemetery.
