Rebecca Jean Conner Bennett, age 75, of Forest City, passed away March 2, 2022.

Rebecca was born July 2, 1946 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Charles Conner and Martha Frady Conner. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

She had worked in textiles, also with the Rutherford County Schools as a bus driver for the Special Education Department, but her favorite job was when she got to stay home and take care of all her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Conner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Wilbur Bennett, Sr.; daughter, Mary Goode (Larry); sons; Wilbur Bennett, Jr., David Bennett (Stephanie); brother, William Conner (Bonna); five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held March 7, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joshua Lathan officiating.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
