The Rutherford County Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC) provides a place for families of children and adults with autism to meet, share, and learn about autism. Our next meeting will be on Mon. March 26, 6-7:30pm. Join us for a conversation with Brad Miller, a local parent of an autistic teenager. We meet in the cafeteria at Ellenboro Elementary School, 813 Piney Mountain Church Rd, Ellenboro, NC, 28040.

Brandon Gosey, member of the Rutherford County Board of Education, has organized a community wide forum called, "Keeping Schools Safe." Designed to give the community an opportunity to have their voices heard on this serious topic, Gosey tells us, "I am excited about organizing this much needed discussion between our community, our members, elected officials and services providers."

Since it's early March, spring sports have arrived. Now that basketball is over, it's now onto High School baseball. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to college basketball's March Madness and we can talk about that next week.
