Reverend Bobby Edwards, age 87 of Union Mills passed away Monday, December 26, 2022.

Bob, as he was known was born February 19, 1935, in Graham County, NC and was a son of the late Monroe and Rosalie West Edwards. He was a graduate of Stecoah Valley High School and Fruitland Bible Institute.

Bob served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for 21 years for General Fireproofing and then Watts Regulator which became Regtrol and Torrington where he retired.

Bob was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. He was also a member of Western Star Masonic Lodge, No. 91, AF&AM.

He was preceded in death by his sister Amy Edwards and his brother T. J. Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Naomi Lammonds Edwards, son Dr. David Edwards and wife Kelly, daughters Stephanie Edwards McLean and husband Glenn, Susan Edwards Floberg, and Amy Edwards Shepherd and husband Terry, three grandchildren, one great-grandson, brother Alvin Edwards, and sisters June Edwards Hyde and Ann Edwards.

The funeral was held December 31 in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with Rev. Paul White, Jr. and Rev. Jason Toney officiating.
