Reverend James L. Daves, 82, passed away on February 4, 2020.

James was the son of the late W.W. and Olna Dycus Daves.

James is survived by his wife of sixty years, Rebecca Allen Daves, daughters April Leonhardt (Lee) of Greer, SC, Ginger Daves Gappa of Lyman, and Robin McDonald (James) of Anderson, SC, one sister, Joyce Daves White (Joe) of Simpsonville, SC, sister in law Barbara Allen Brigman (Johnnie) of Forest City.

He is also survived by his six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter.

A Memorial service was held at Adaville Baptist Church in Spindale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "The Samantha Project" through Adaville Baptist Church, 805 Oakland Road, Spindale, NC 28160 or by calling 828-286-2361.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
