Richard Arthur (Dick) McCallum stepped into glory Friday, April 7, 2023.

Born August 3, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan, he was a son of the late Everett and Mary Paul Bradley McCallum. Dick started his career at Michigan Bell, married Joan Baser in 1978 and moved to New Jersey to work for AT&T. Upon retirement, Dick and Joan moved to Lake Lure, NC.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Brenda Miniclier (Joe), Richard McCallum (Anne), Jill McCallum; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three on the way; two stepsons Kenneth Mundt (Kathy), Kevin Mundt (Michelle); and siblings Howard Gould and Millie Gould.

Dick was a member of Forest City Church of the Nazarene. Dick was a private pilot. He served on the Lake Lure Town Council for eight years.

Memorial services were held April 21at Forest City Church of the Nazarene.
