Richard Henderson, age 75, of Forest City, passed away, Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Richard was born November 4, 1946, in Rutherford County to the late Evelyn Henderson Doggett. He was a graduate of Chase High School. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Hoechst-Celanese for 15 years. Richard was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Forest City.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his life-time companion, Brigitte Fitzpatrick and his grandmother, Bertha Henderson.

Survivors include sister, Cathy Humphries (Ricky) of Gaffney, SC; nieces Shannon Holland of Boiling Springs and Dawn Womack (Tyler) of Gaffney; two great-nephews, one great-niece, and a great-great niece and nephew.

A memorial service was held October 6 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eric Yelton officiating.
