Richard Lee Siegel, age 65, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Born June 2, 1949 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Herman Siegel & Irene Alice Fulton Siegel. He worked as commercial truck driver for most of his life, having worked for Tru-Pak Trucking & most recently for Federal Express.  He was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church & an avid fisherman. 

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Cogdell Siegel; son, Peter Franklin Ledford of Forest City; daughter, Shannon Lynn Wilson of Ellenboro; brother, John Fulton Siegel & wife, Patricia of Charlotte & sister, Robin Morris Siegel of Ft. Myers Florida. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Ryan Allred & wife, Tiffany, Nathaniel Hamrick & Trinity Phillips; 2 great-grandchildren, Audrey Allred & Malachi Allred; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 great niece.

A memorial service was conducted at Fork Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Cogdell officiating.
