Richard "Rick" Neal Guffey, age 58, husband of Lisa Edwards Guffey of Rutherfordton passed away Wednesday, April 5.

Rick was a native of McDowell County, employed by Triangle Contractors and was a member of Fellowship Holiness Church.

Those preceding Rick in death include his parents Larry and Christine Harklerode Guffey, granddaughter Hayleigh Vance, brothers Todd and Bryan Guffey and sister Becky Fulenwider.

In addition to his wife Lisa he leaves to cherish his memory children Richard Neal Guffey II, Stephanie Vance (Keith), Christina Deal (Cory); brother Donald Guffey (Deborah), sister Beth Wilson (Mitch); five grandchildren, brother in law Rusty Fulenwider, sisters in law Betty and Ann Guffey and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held April 10 at Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Leon Brown, Rev. Chad Sisk and Rev. Danny Ledford officiating.
