Riley Clay Weast, age 20, passed away October 6, 2023.

Riley was born May 27, 2003 in Rutherford County to the late Roger Kevin Weast and Jennifer McGinnis Weast. He was a graduate of Chase High School. Upon his graduation, he worked for Buildz Construction Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne McGinnis, Roger Weast and Candy and Ron Honeycutt.

Left to treasure his memory are his siblings, Megan Smith (Cory) of Watauga, TX, Daughtry Mitchell (Cassie) and Bailey Aiden Weast all of Forest City; grandparents, Gladys Kay McGinnis (Dennis) of Forest City and Pat Weast of Rutherford County; aunt, Tina Walker (Michael) of Forest City; uncles, Eric McGinnis (Sandra) of Orlando, FL, Brian Weast (Tracy) of Sunshine, Joey Weast (Jessica) of Ellenboro, one nephew and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 5pm Friday, October 13th at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ted Blankenship and Rev. Kevin Street officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
