Ritchie Luico “Bubba” Greene, 55, of Mill Spring, passed away Saturday September 8, 2012.

A native of Ft. Myers, FL, he was the son of the late Woodrow T. and Jessie Greene. Bubba was a writer and publisher of the Hillbilly Reader.

He is survived by his two children, Woodrow Shults Greene of Mill Spring and Jessie Joann Greene of Mill Spring; sister Donna Diane Brown of Gastonia and brother Mike Greene. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Diane Shults Greene.

Graveside services were held at Big Level Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for Bubba’s children in care of Dana Conner, 804 Maple Creek Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.

Crowe’s Mortuary is serving the family.
