Robert Dale Clontz, age 62

Robert Dale Clontz, age 62, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014.

Born July 8, 1951 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Ben David Clontz and Bessie Hensley Clontz. He was heavy equipment operator in highway construction and of the Baptist Faith. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Anarah Stedman, Mary Jo Clontz and 4 brothers, William Hugh Clontz, Gene David Clontz, Bennie Lewis Clontz and Roger Ray Clontz.

Survivors include his sisters, Aileen Tessnear and husband Richard of Forest City, Ruby Rumfelt and husband Johnny “Tunk”, and Becky Clontz of Forest City.

A graveside service was conducted at Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Paul Toney officiating.
