Robert Stephen Conner, 60, of Fletcher, NC formerly of Spindale, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. 

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Johnnie Sue Atchley Conner of Spindale and the late Marvin Conner. He was a Baptist and retired from Dupont Cedar Mtn. in Brevard. He was a US Army Veteran.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Harold Dean Conner and wife Eva Lou of Forest City; sister Brenda Kay Conner Hodge and husband David of Spindale; girlfriend of 15 years Carrie Pressley; grandson Noah Hoxit; one niece and two nephews.

Crowe Mortuary is serving the family.
