ROC Broad River Fall Sweep

ROC Broad River Fall Sweep

On Saturday, October 3rd, ROC members were joined by other supporters for the annual ROC Broad River Fall Sweep river clean-up. Thanks to their efforts, tons of trash and over a dozen tires were removed from Section 5 of the river.

ROC holds these clean-ups twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. The next one will be held in May of next year.

Many of those volunteering at the event were ROC River Stewards. ROC River Stewards are community members that have adopted a section of the river, float that section regularly, and report any major trash or blockages they see to ROC. They also help with tree removal and clean-ups on the river. We appreciate all the time and energy these volunteers put into keeping the river safe and beautiful for everyone.
