Rochelle Curtis, 68, of Lake Lure, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. 

A native of Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Summers. Rochelle was innkeeper of Chimney Rock Inn and a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church.

Our beloved Rochelle wife, mother, & grandmother. Her light touched many people. Family to those who had none, she was happiest nurturing people, puppies & flowers. Every place & person is better for having known her. We will miss her but know she is surrounded by angels.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Bill Curtis; son, Scott Williams of Dayton, OH; daughter Misty Campbell & husband Jack of Raleigh; granddaughters, Rebekah Williams of Hendersonville, Rochelle Williams of Spindale, & Kelsey Campbell of Raleigh.

Funeral services were held at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Daggerhart officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

Crowe’s Mortuary is serving the family.
