Roger Wayne Dotson, age 83, of Polk County

Roger Wayne Dotson, age 83, of Polk County, NC, went home to be with his Lord on June 19, 2026.

Roger was the son of the late Fred Glover Dotson, Sr. and Martha Pauline Nelon Dotson and the husband of the late Barbara Ann Newton Dotson.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Wayman Dotson (Leslie); his daughter, Cheryl Haynes (William); his sisters, Norma Jean Thompson and Rebecca Reed; his brothers, Ronnie Dotson and Donnie Dotson; his grandchildren, Preston Haynes and Rachael Haynes Wood (Charlie); and his great-grandson, Jasper Wood.

In addition to his parents and wife, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Jackson, and his brothers, Frank Dotson and Fred Dotson.

A funeral service was held June 21 at Cane Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wilson officiating.
