Ronald Delbert Fish, age 65 of Forest City passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County and a son of the late O. A. Fish, Sr. and Pauline Padgett Fish. He was a retired Police Officer and worked for many years at the Lake Lure Police Department where he was once Assistant Chief of Police. He also served in the United States Army and was former EMS employee.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Whitmire Fish, his children, Brian Armstrong, Christine Armstrong, Johnie Davenport, Jamie Ledford, Angie Darling, and Michelle Hoppes; brothers, O.A. Fish, Jr and David (J.D.) Fish, sisters, Carolyn Blitcliffe and Dorcus Barnes. There are also 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in the Village Chapel Church on Huntley Street with Reverend Frank Ensley officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family in care of his wife, Karen Fish, 139 Holly Lane, Forest City, NC 28043.

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of cremation arrangements.
