Roy B. "Bub" Gibson, Jr, 79, of Henrietta, NC, died Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Born in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Roy B. Gibson, Sr and Evelyn Fox Gibson and also the widower of the Jeanette Fox Gibson. Roy worked in textiles and was a member of Grace Chapel, Forest City. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a part of the Airborne 7th Cavalry Division.

Survivors include his daughters, Jeanne G. Owens and husband Johnny of Henrietta, and Elaine Gibson of Caroleen; brothers, Thomas Gibson and Bob Gibson, both of Union, SC; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday, July 21 in The Padgett & King Chapel. Interment will follow in the Oak Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton.
