Ruby Arrowood Cordell, age 83, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Forest Benjanmin Arrowood and the late Dora Catherine Craig Arrowood. She loved to collect tea pots, cook and had a green thumb that could grow anything. She was also preceded in death by one brother Thomas Clyde Arrowood.

She is survived by her husband of almost 64 years: Horace Cordell. Two daughters: Anna Hicks and husband Michael of Greenville, SC, Catherine Dalton and husband Clyde of Rutherfordton. One son: Donald "Bo" Cordell and wife Rebecca of Rutherfordton.

Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The graveside service was held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Reverend Ad Hopper officiating. Interment held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
