Russell "Rusty" Miller Spurlin, 54, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023.

He was born in Cleveland County to Betty Tessiner Spurlin Cannon and the late Robert Spurlin. He is also predeceased by his step-father, Donald Cannon; brother, Donny Spurlin.

Rusty leaves behind his daughter, Melissa S. Chapman of Monroe; one granddaughter, daughter, Chelsea Hunt of Shelby, sisters, Sue Garrett and Robin Thomas (Bo); brothers, Steve Spurlin (Trudy), Chris Spurlin (Christy) and Scott Spurlin (Angela).

He was a Brick Mason for 30 years.

Private Family Services will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his granddaughter, Lisa Sadelia Chapman's College Fund at State Employees Credit Union.
