PrintRuth Jean Martin Padgett 99, passed away Thursday July 11, 2018.
Born in Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Joe Martin and Luna Sparks Martin. She was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Padgett. She was a retired teacher and the longest living member of Ellenboro Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Amelia Richards and husband Dale of Mooresboro and Joanna Graves of husband Mark of Ellenboro. Six grandchildren, Ten Great Grandchildren, Six Great Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Audley Martin, and Martin Martin, three sisters; Rachel Mortimer, Luna Jo Huntley and Alpha Martin and one grandson.
A celebration of her life was held at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, Rev. Sam Henderson officiated.
