Ruth Margaret Sisk Gilbert, 107, of Forest City, passed away October 12, 2022.

A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Levi and Daisy Melinda Butler Sisk. She retired from the North Carolina School for the Deaf.

Left to cherish her memory is daughter Linda Gilbert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Walter Lee Gilbert, Sr., son Walter Lee Gilbert Jr. and grandson Kelly Dean Gilbert-Brown.

There will be no public funeral services. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
