Ruth Pye, age 95, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Ruth was born February 9, 1925 in Rutherford County to the late W.D. Holland and Odele Butler Holland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John E. Pye; two sons, John Thomas Pye and Terry Lee Pye; a grandson; three sisters, Lib Rash, Margaret Lockridge and Sylvia Morrow; three brothers, Nyle, Walter and Tommy Holland.

Those left to cherish her memory include son, Russell Pye (Diana) of Cliffside, three grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was conducted at Alexander Cemetery.
