Samuel Rick Blankenship, 56, of Ruth, NC went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 23, 2011.  

Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Annie Sue Atchley Blankenship and a sister Billie Rose Goode.

He is survived by his wife Ann Weaver Blankenship; son, Daniel Blankenship of Ruth; a daughter, Geena Blankenship of Huntersville; sisters, Phyllis Tyner of Cleveland, TN and Karen Wilson of Columbia, SC; 4 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County or to Southern Baptist Church Building Fund.
