Sandra W. Dobbins, age 63, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014.

Born September 9, 1950 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Joe D. Wilson and Jean Saine Shehan who resides in Rutherfordton.  Sandra was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1968 and attended Isothermal Community College.  She worked as secretary for several local businesses and was a faithful member of Pleasant View Community Church.  She enjoyed reading her Bible and especially spending time with her family.  Sandra always had a heart for others.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two infant children, Angie Dobbins and Christy Dobbins.

Besides her mother, survivors include her husband of forty-three years, Larry P. Dobbins; son, Kevin M. Dobbins and wife, Nikki of Bostic; daughter, Susan D. Prairie and husband, Thomas of Rutherfordton; sister, Bobbie Condrey and husband, Jackie of Rutherfordton.  She is also survived by four grandchildren, Alex Prairie, Phillip Dobbins, Jordan Prairie, Kenslee Dobbins and two nephews, Kelly Condrey and Carson Condrey both of Rutherfordton.

A memorial service was conducted at the Pleasant View Community Church with Reverend Danny McCain and Chaplain Kriss Landry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Abounding Grace Ministries, PO Box 361, Rutherfordton, NC  28139.
