Sgt. Cameron Morrison Flack age 18 was killed in action December 12, 1950 during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir while serving in the U.S. Army’s 7th Infantry Division. His body lay at rest in Korea for a number of years until being returned to the United States along with a number of other unidentified servicemen. He was identified in July of 2014 using DNA provided by family members.

Family members include his father I.K. Flack (deceased), mother Texie (Jaynes) Flack (deceased), sisters Mildred Kincaid of Valdese, NC, Katherene Flack (deceased), Kathaleen Flack (deceased), Shirley Mace of Glenwood, NC and Barbara Chatham of Rutherfordton, NC; brothers- I.K Flack, Jr. (deceased), Jason Lee Flack (deceased), Lynn Flack (deceased), Charles Flack (deceased) and Mike Flack (deceased) as well as a number of other relatives.

A funeral service was held at Round Hill Baptist Church 6585 Hudlow Road Union Mills, NC 28167 with John Cope and Brian Parker officiating. 

Burial with full military honors took place in the church cemetery following the funeral service
