Sharon "Marlene" Greene, age 71, of Lawndale, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019.

Marlene was born October 1, 1948 in Gaston County to the late Mack Lewis and Virginia Lewis Painter. She was a graduate of Chase High School and was of the Baptist faith. Marlene worked thirty years for PPG Industries until retirement. She loved taking care of her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Marlene was a caring and giving person.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Greene and a sister, Geraldine Shedd.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Scott Greene (Hannah) of Henrietta; brother, Richard Lewis of Tennessee; three grandchildren, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. A committal service was held at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery following the service.
