Shelly D. Hollifield, age 43, of Rutherfordton passed away Friday, February 7, 2014. 

      Born October 21, 1970 in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Clifford Hollifield and Brenda Suttle McEntyre who resides in Rutherfordton.  Shelly was a graduate of Chase High School and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  She worked in management at various retail stores and enjoyed working on the computer.

     In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Trevor Hollifield.

     Besides her mother, she is survived by step-father, Donnie McEntyre; three uncles, Bill Suttle of Green Hill, Don Weeks of Boiling Springs, SC, Teddy Hollifield of Rutherfordton and aunt, Carol Hollifield of Arizona.

     A memorial service to honor Shelly’s life was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating.  

     Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
