Sherman Eugene Blanton, 78, of Forest City, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Sherman and Arvie Blanton. He was an electrician for the Coca Cola Bottling Company and a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Jeff Blanton (Cathy), Brad (Tracy) Blanton, Mike Landers; daughter, Cathy (Kevin) Buckner; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister Rebecca McCorkle and brother Jerry Blanton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Landers Blanton.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Mortuary. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Military Honors were provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
