Sherrill Dean Irvin, age 60, of Mooresboro, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011.

    Memorial services were conducted at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Kingstown with Reverend Marie Irvin officiating.     

    Sherrill was born June 6, 1951 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Lee Irvin and Annie Connor Irvin.  He worked as a plumber and owned and operated the Affordable Repair Service for many years.  He enjoyed small engine repair and was an avid arrowhead collector.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Eugene Irvin; three brothers and three sisters.

     Survivors include his wife, Linda Wood Irvin; a special friend, Libby Whitesides Irvin; two daughters, Lora Shires of Ellenboro and Sharon Campos of Mooresboro; four sons, Chad Nazelrod of Sunshine, Ray Wright of Ellenboro, Casey Whitesides and T.J. Powell both of Mooresboro; two brothers, Thomas “Hoss” Irvin of Lattimore and Cliff “Tex” Irvin of Grover; two sisters, Daisy Williams of Hopewell and Dorothy Tate Irvin of Caroleen.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
