Sherry Skipper Gragg, age 78, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026

Sherry was born March 9, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Joseph Skipper and Cordie Huntsinger Skipper. She retired from Broyhill Furniture Mfg. after 39 years. Sherry was a member of West Point Baptist Church and was currently attending Spindale Fellowship Holiness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Johnny Gragg; daughter, Teresa Gragg and siblings, J.C. Skipper, Kathleen Lynch, Ben Skipper, Jerry Skipper and Grady Skipper.

Those left to honor her legacy include her daughter, Tammy Walker (Donald) of Bostic; brother, Robert Skipper of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Kayla Simmons (Paul) and Cody Carver (Brittany); great grandchildren, Addison, Lynda, Bentley, Paislie, Brystal; special nephews, Alan Lynch, Earl Mace and special niece, Lisa Epley.

The funeral was held May 2 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Sisk officiating.
