Shirley Mae Duncan Shehan, age 71, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012.  

She was a native of Mitchell County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton and worked for Southern Bell and some local trucking companies in Rutherford County and was a mom. She was preceded in death by her father Millard Ed Duncan.She is  survived by her husband: William Hicks Shehan of Rutherfordton, Mother: Bertie Duncan of Spruce Pine, Two Sons: Van Shehan and wife Susan of  Spindale, Kevin Shehan and wife Lisa of Rutherfordton, Daughter: Dewanna Campbell and husband Kevin of Rutherfordton, Three Granddaughters: Kasey Shehan, Sidney Campbell and Kristin Shehan. One Sister:  Katie Kirton and husband Keith of Burnsville, NC. One Brother:  Dale Duncan and wife Angie of  Spruce Pine, NC. 

Funeral services were held at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Billy E. Vaughn and Rev. Clifford Bradshaw officiating.
